According to this post on the ThinkProgress.org website, solar is expected to grow by at least 20% this year. That is continued good news for the industry that is leading our transition to a cleaner, more jobs-robust economy. The article also states that solar has reached grid-parity (being able to match the grid supplied power for the cost of power) without incentives in India and Italy, with more countries, possibly including the US, to join them by 2014. In Montana, our customers are enjoying lower-than-grid-pricing with the federal incentives, with non-incentive parity only 4-5…
Check out this post ( New Battery Technologies ) that lists just a few of the battery technologies that are in the works and close to reaching the marketplace. With the ability to store renewable energy production in a cost effective manner for use when, say, the sun isn’t shining or the wind isn’t blowing, these technologies will cement renewable energy’s future as the energy leader for our economy.

For those of you who live in the great State of Montana, man your phones, email, or whatever your favorite form of communication is, and let your district Senators in Helena know that you are opposed to SB 226 and SB 253, and let your Representatives in Helena know that you are opposed to HB 424. These bills that are before our governing bodies, are measures that will limit, reduce, or eliminate incentives for using renewable energies, or for installing newer appliances or upgrading construction materials for energy conservation purposes in our State. Shouldn’t we keep encouraging more energy…

General Information:
Present day electrical requirements in hospitals, industrial buildings, theaters, stores, offices, homes, etc., are designed for AC currents. If commercial power is now in use and the generator is needed for standby service, the generator characteristics must match the commercial power as to voltage, phase, cycles, etc. If the generator will be used as a primary source of power, then an AC generator is recommended because of its low initial cost, not only of the generator, but also of the appliances and equipment to be operated from the AC source. Our generators are available in standard voltages; single…
